New York Lamp is a tribute to the skilfully designed and crafted facades of metropolitan architecture. Originally designed for a dear friend who missed home it has evolved into a project proudly representing democratic principles of design.

A second version of the lamp includes a tree embossed into the inside of the lamp, projecting a soft shadow onto the facade. This tree acts as a reminder of the origins of Manhattan as a sprawling forest and potent habitat for wildlife before its rapid expansion into the city it is today.
The lamp is fully 3D Printed- making it easily producable by anyone with access to a printer and the file. In the name of democratic design I have made the download available for free.
